This recognition highlights BEI\u2019s continued leadership in high-performance solar infrastructure and public-sector energy solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Recognizing Innovation in Public-Sector Renewable Energy<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The awarded project\u2014a 3,588 kW single-axis tracking ground-mount solar installation\u2014was constructed at Atwater\u2019s Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and includes a 1,728 kW RES-BCT system. Through the RES-BCT program, bill credits from this facility are transferred to other city meters, resulting in citywide energy cost reductions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This strategic deployment delivers more than just clean power:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Offsets 98% of WWTP\u2019s energy needs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduces city electricity spend by 45%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generates an estimated $3.7 million in net savings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cuts greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to removing 1,095 cars from the road annually<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>With ownership and maintenance retained by ENGIE (now Opterra), and BEI Construction serving as the Electrical Contractor, the City of Atwater also benefited from the 30% Investment Tax Credit and a maintenance-free system with guaranteed performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A Night to Celebrate Craftsmanship and Collaboration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hosted by NorCal NECA &#8211; the Northern California Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association, the annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/sanfrancisco\/listings\/6\/item\/19071\">Fall General Member Meeting &amp; Awards Dinner celebrates outstanding contributions to electrical construction across Northern California.<\/a> It brings together member firms, industry partners, and labor leaders to recognize excellence, innovation, and impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Held in Pleasanton, CA, this year\u2019s event emphasized projects that not only meet complex technical standards but also deliver measurable benefits to communities. These awards celebrate excellence in safety, innovation, and execution.
