Dominic DiMare has been named CEO, bringing over 30 years of industry experience and a deep commitment to growing BEI\u2019s impact on renewable energy and large-scale infrastructure projects. Having spent 22 years with BEI, he has played a pivotal role in driving the company\u2019s success, leading teams that have completed over 1.8 GW of solar installations in California and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DiMare has built strong relationships across the industry, from clients and vendors to union workers and project partners. His expertise spans solar, wind, battery storage systems, substations, EV charging, and microgrid projects, positioning BEI as a leader in the renewable energy space. A longtime union member and leader, he understands how to rapidly scale skilled teams to meet the demands of the company\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/beiconstruction.com\/projects\/renewable-energy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">expanding portfolio<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We sat down with Dominic to hear more about his journey, his vision for BEI, and what\u2019s next for the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What has kept you at BEI for more than two decades?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dominic:<\/strong> It\u2019s the people and the opportunities. BEI has always valued craftsmanship, innovation, and a strong work ethic. I started as an IBEW electrician and worked my way up, learning from some of the best in the business. The company has grown tremendously, but our core values have stayed the same\u2014we take on challenging projects, deliver quality work, and build lasting relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How do you see BEI\u2019s role in the renewable energy industry evolving?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dominic:<\/strong> The demand for large-scale energy solutions is growing fast, and BEI is positioned to lead. We\u2019ve already been involved in <strong>over 2.4GW of battery storage, solar, substation, wind, and EV charging projects<\/strong>. Our focus is on scaling up nationally while maintaining the level of execution and expertise our clients expect. The industry is evolving rapidly, and we\u2019re making sure BEI stays ahead by investing in our workforce, technology, and project capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What are your priorities as CEO?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dominic:<\/strong> First and foremost, continuing to support our teams in the field. BEI\u2019s strength comes from our people, and ensuring they have the resources, training, and support they need will be key to maintaining our high standards of execution. Other priorities include expanding our capabilities through technology and strengthening operational efficiencies so we can take on even larger, more complex projects. As we scale nationally, my focus will be on maintaining the quality, safety, and innovation that define BEI while continuing to build strong partnerships across the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What excites you most about this next chapter for BEI?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dominic:<\/strong> The opportunity to grow while staying true to what makes BEI unique. We have a strong foundation, an incredible team, and a reputation for delivering high-quality work.
