They already consume 8.6 TWh of electricity (22 percent of the state\u2019s generation capacity). By 2030, this is predicted to grow to 14.8 TWh (35 percent of Nevada\u2019s forecasted power generation.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the state\u2019s targeted goals of reaching 100 percent zero-carbon electricity by 2050\u2014and 50 percent by 2030\u2014Nevada utilities are actively building and contracting for new wind, solar and geothermal plants.
